Connect FullEnrich MCP to ChatGPT

Step-by-step guide to adding FullEnrich MCP to ChatGPT via Custom MCP Servers so your AI agent can search, enrich, and export contacts autonomously.

Overview

FullEnrich MCP uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect ChatGPT directly to your FullEnrich account.

The integration works through ChatGPT’s Developer Mode, which allows custom apps built on MCP servers from third-party providers like FullEnrich.

Once enabled in a conversation, ChatGPT can:

  • Search for contacts

  • Enrich them with verified emails and phone numbers

  • Export results to CSV

Authentication is handled via OAuth, so no API keys or manual configuration are required.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • A FullEnrich account

  • A ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Team, Enterprise, or Edu plan (not available on the free plan)

  • Access to ChatGPT via the web or desktop app

Step-By-Step Setup

Step 1: Open ChatGPT Settings

  • Open ChatGPT

  • Click your profile icon

  • Select Settings

Step 2: Enable Developer Mode

  • In Settings, click Applications in the left sidebar

  • Find Developer Mode and toggle it ON

Note: ChatGPT will display a high-risk warning when enabling Developer Mode. This is expected, as it allows custom MCP servers from external providers. FullEnrich is a trusted provider.

Step 3: Create a new app

  • Click Create an app at the top of the Applications page

Step 4: Fill in the app details

Enter the following details:

Leave Advanced settings empty.

  • Check I understand and wish to continue

  • Click Create

Tip: ChatGPT automatically detects OAuth when using the FullEnrich URL. No additional setup is required.

Step 5: Find FullEnrich in your Drafts

  • Go to Settings → Applications

  • Find FullEnrich MCP under Drafts (marked DEV)

This confirms the app was created successfully.

Step 6: Authenticate with FullEnrich

  • A browser window will open automatically

  • Sign in with your FullEnrich account

  • Authorize access

  • Return to ChatGPT

Step 7: Enable FullEnrich in a conversation

  • Open a new chat in ChatGPT

  • Click the + button near the message input

  • Select Connectors

  • Go to the Custom MCP tab

  • Select FullEnrich MCP

A green checkmark confirms the connection is active.

Step 8: Test the connection

Type the following in the chat:

Check my FullEnrich credits

If ChatGPT returns your credit balance, the setup is complete.

Refreshing tools

If FullEnrich adds new tools or updates its API, you can refresh the connector:

  • Go to Settings → Applications

  • Click FullEnrich MCP under Drafts

  • Click Refresh

What you can do next

Once connected, you can:

  • Search contacts by role, company, industry, or location

  • Enrich contacts with professional emails or phone numbers

  • Export contacts or companies to CSV

For the full list of tools, see the FullEnrich MCP Server article.

Troubleshooting

I don’t see the Applications option in Settings

Custom MCP apps require a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Team, Enterprise, or Edu). Upgrade your plan to access this feature.

I don’t see Developer Mode

Try using ChatGPT on the web or desktop app. Developer Mode may not yet be available in all regions.

The authentication window opened but nothing happens

  • Close the browser tab after signing in

  • Return to ChatGPT

  • The connection should complete automatically

FullEnrich does not appear in the Custom MCP tab

  • Make sure Developer Mode is still enabled

  • Confirm the app was created successfully (it should appear under Drafts)
